Kiran discussed the current status of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). This landmark 2015 deal, between Iran and the P5+1 partners (China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) reflected Iran's agreement to limit its sensitive nuclear activities and allowed international inspectors into its borders and, in return, the P5+1 partners agreed to lift crippling economic sanctions. The U.S. walked away from the deal in 2018, and in response, Iran decreased its compliance efforts.

Kiran provided Global News with an analysis of Article 36 of the JCPOA and explained the steps of how any dispute resolution might unfold. Check out the video!
